Below you'll find summary information about the Younionize project,and how you can help bring it to life. For those who wish to discussthe project internally we have produced a brief project proposal. Thiscan be downloaded from our online library here.

If you or your union has a problem making a donation by credit card, you can also do so by international money transfer.

All other currencies will need to be converted into Pounds Sterling. Then follow the steps below:

NewUnionism Net promotes union membership internationally. We also seek to bring non-standard workers into a union orbit, and to act as a bridge when workers shift from one job to another.

In order to do this we have set up the Younionize! project. We now need to build:

• a global database of unions and their contact details;
• contact information from within each union, so that we can refer potential members;
• a contribution towards phone, promotion, administration and IT costs

We have estimated set up costs at 27,000 US dollars / 18,500 euro / 13,000 pounds. We are hoping to collect this by 1st June 2008. We are happy to acknowledge sponsorship in an appropriate manner.

Here's how we arrived at our total ($US):

Database development: $15,100
Salary and contractor fees: $6,000
Office / phone / postage costs: $2,600
Promotional materials: $1,600
IT and networking costs: $1,700

This does not include an estimated 480 hours of voluntary work which NewUnionism Net will donate to the project.
